Ted Moores is a master boat builder and owner of Bear Mountain Boats, he's also the author of the best-selling book Canoecraft and Kayakcraft. After more than 40 years building cedar-strip boats, Ted is one of the worlds most influential canoe builders who has inspired countless first time builders to build their own canoe through his books and workshops.

While filming Canoe: Icon of the North we interviewed Ted. Unfortunately, due to the number of interviews and restraints from the length of the film, only a small part of the interview could be used in Canoe: Icon of the North.
